Welcome to SAFoodTech (the “Platform”). By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering, accessing, or using the Platform in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. This agreement is legally binding.
2. Scope of the Platform
The Platform is an online service that connects job seekers & students (“Job Seekers”) with employers or recruiters (“Employers”). We provide tools to facilitate job postings, applications, and communication. However, we do not act as an employer or recruitment agency.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Job Seekers: You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Platform.
3.2 Employers: You must have the authority to represent the company or organization on whose behalf you are using the Platform.
3.3 By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
4. User Accounts
4.1 To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- Keep your account credentials confidential.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
4.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are deemed fraudulent.
5. Use of the Platform
5.1 Prohibited Activities: You agree not to:
- Post false or misleading information.
- Use the Platform for unlawful purposes.
- Transmit viruses or other harmful technologies.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform.
5.2 Content Guidelines:
- Job postings must be clear, accurate, and lawful.
- Profiles must not include offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
6. Payment and Fees
6.1 For Employers: Certain features, such as premium job postings, may require payment. Fees are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6.2 For User Registration (Job Seeker): Activation of your online will require payment, which will give you access to the features, such as premium job postings & contracts. Fees are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6.3 Payment Terms: All payments must be made in accordance with the pricing and payment terms displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and other intellectual property on the Platform are owned by SAFoodtech (Pty) Ltd or licensed to us. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.
8. Disclaimers
8.1 The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind.
8.2 We do not guarantee:
- Job placements or hiring outcomes.
- The accuracy or reliability of user-generated content.
8.3 We are not responsible for any disputes between Job Seekers and Employers.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SAFoodtech and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violating these Terms or for other reasons at our discretion.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
